Peer Support: WoN

Web of Narcissism.com is a peer-based support group for people whose lives have been changed by a narcissistic relationship. While providing information about psychopathology is the foundation to our organization, our main purpose and intent is supporting one another's healing process. A healing process that may require professional counseling in addition to peer-based validation provided on the WoN messageboard.

The original WoN forum was hosted by MSN Groups and organized in 2005. The Web of Narcissism was originally created by CZBZ who is the creator and sole administrator of this blog. You can blame me if you don't like comparing narcissists to vampires.

The WoN organization does not advocate any specific therapeutic treatment nor recovery plan. What we do and do very well, is allow each person the dignity of finding their own path with the encouragement and camaraderie of fellow survivors.

WoN Mission Statement: The Web of Narcissism is a volunteer organization dedicated to assisting people's recovery from narcissistic relationships. As an organization, we offer:

1) psychological information about pathological relationships and the dangers of untreated psychopathology;

2) extend validation to those who have suffered as a result of pathological relationships;

3)facilitate integration of both cognitive and emotional intelligence towards self-regulation and the restoration of personal integrity.

As an organization, we intend to: fill a void in people's lives; support professional therapists and counselors; foster a healing environment that is anonymous, tolerant, and devoted to a long-term recovery process; educate people about red flags and warning signs.

As individuals, we intend to: heal our lives and pay it forward by supporting peers who intend to do the same; admit our mistakes and challenge ourselves to do better; move from victim to survivor to thriver; restore personal power by accepting reality, make wiser choices, and take responsibility for our lives.
